Newspapers and Books in Palmyra from 1818-1830

The TC Strong Book-seller and Printer frequently advertised books for sale in the Palmyra Register. Joseph Smith reportedly visited the printing shop weekly to get the newspaper for his father. This suggests Joseph had access to the books on sale, including the works of Jonathan Edwards.
